Spay & Neuter

Reduces medical risks, and reduces animal overpopulation.
A green heart shape rests gracefully on the black background, symbolizing care and compassion often associated with a vet's gentle touch.

Every year, thousands of stray and unwanted animals are euthanized in shelters across the country. Many of these deaths are the avoidable result of owners failing to spay or neuter their pets. Unexpected offspring often fill shelters and are never given the chance at happy, loving lives. The Healthy Choice A group of ten people, including veterinarians in colorful scrubs and casual clothing, smile and pose inside a room. A shelf and door are visible in the background.

Diagnostic Services

Ovariohysterectomy (Spaying)

A tabby kitten plays with a toy mouse attached to a tall scratching post, recommended by the local vet. The post is wrapped in beige rope, with black stripes, and stands on green grass.
An ovariohysterectomy (spaying) is a routine surgical procedure performed on female cats and dogs. The process involves removing the patient’s uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes, rendering the animal incapable of reproduction.
Spaying offers several benefits, including:
  • Prevents unwanted pregnancies
  • Eliminates the risk of ovarian and uterine tumors
  • Removes the possibility of uterine infections
  • Reduces the risk of mammary tumors
  • An exam is required prior to scheduling surgery.
For New clients and those we have not seen in 2 years we require an exam and a non-refundable deposit of $95 for this procedure. The deposit will be applied to the bill if the scheduled procedure is completed.

Neutering offers several benefits, including:
  • Prevents unwanted reproduction
  • Eliminates the risk of testicular and prostate tumors
  • Has the potential to reduce certain unwanted behaviors
  • An exam is required prior to scheduling surgery.
For New clients and those we have not seen in 2 years we require an exam and a non-refundable deposit of $95 for this procedure. The deposit will be applied to the bill if the scheduled procedure is completed.
