Deeper Collaboration
We believe veterinary medicine works best when you are deeply involved in the process. We take the time to teach you the “why” behind your pet’s health needs so that you are empowered to make the right decisions for your family. To us, you aren’t a client… you are a part of your pet’s health care team. And we’ll work together to make sure you both receive the kind of care you deserve.

Our first priority is always with the health, happiness, and comfort of our patients. Our care advice is based only on what is best for the pet.
Put pets first.
We trust parents to make the right decisions for themselves and their pets and invite them to actively participate in care alongside us.
Trust the parent.
Caring for a pet involves the full spectrum of emotions, from joy to grief. We know when to be fun, and when to be serious. At all times, we foster supportive, positive, and authentically human hospital culture.
Authentically human.
Although our business is growing, we retain the attitude and spirit of a neighborhood vet. We get to know our clients' families and are proud to play an active role in our local communities.
Good neighbors.
We are always looking for a better way. In an industry that hasn't seen a lot of innovation, we are experimenting with new ways of delivering care, delighting customers, and infusing our hospitals with fresh ideas.
Shake things up.
We follow a few basic principles in everything we do. We call them our Pillars. Collectively, they are our north star.

A Cara Family Neighborhood Vet
I have been taking my pets to Animal Hospital of Parkland for 14 years. They have consistently taken wonderful care of all my fur babies and been very compassionate when my pets have passed. Recently my small dog needed surgery and they did it on a Sunday. He’s doing great and I am very thankful for Dr Peterson and his great staff
They take the best care of our girls! Have been going here for over 5 yrs now. They take the extra time with your pet and treat them as if they were their own. Easy time making appointments and great hours of service.
This is my first time leaving a review anywhere because I feel so strongly about this clinic. They have been my vet for 25+ years. Most caring staff, extremely knowledgeable, and compassionate. They have always been responsive to any of my inquiries and I Wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.
